Joint Village and Township Recreation Plan, 2018-2022
Notice of Public Hearing and Availability of Draft Plan for Review

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held during a special joint meeting of the Alanson Village Council and the Littlefield Township Board of Trustees on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., at the Village/Township Community Building, located at 7631 U.S. 31, Alanson, Michigan, 48706. The public hearing is being held to receive comments from citizens and consider the adoption of the Village of Alanson/Littlefield Township Recreation Plan, 2018-2022.

A Recreation Plan assists the community in identifying recreation needs. The plan will serve as a guide to document priorities for improvements. When approved by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), the plan qualifies the Village and Township for recreation grants, which are administered through the MDNR. The proposed plan includes a community description, an overview of the administrative structure of the Township, an inventory of existing facilities, a recreation needs analysis, goals and objectives, and capital improvement priorities for the next five years.

A copy of the draft Recreation Plan 2018-2022 is available for public review at the Village/Township Community Building, located at the above noted address, as well as on both the Village website (www.villageofalanson.com) and Township website (www.littlefieldtwp.org). (L-1/19)
